II. Thesis
  Flexural endurance impact through designing FPC and coverlayer structure.
Benefits from staffs in training
1. Conduct pilot run, validation, trial production and production of new materials for the flexible boards. Also implement the entire procedure and present the results.
2. Validate every consumption materials of an ongoing basis, and conduct development, pilot run, and implementation of replacements of an equivalent level. The purpose is to improve production efficiency and to reduce production and operative costs.
3. Prepare typesetting for flexible boards and layouts for the production procedure, and also improve the competitiveness of the company by taking consideration of the material utilization rate and conveniences for the production operation.
4. Evaluate and develop flexible board related equipments.
Provide annually plan for equipment purchase and budget preparing in order to gradually renew or enhance the equipments and facilities, and therefore improve the production techniques of the company.
5. Attend regularly scheduled international meetings for exchanging techniques, learning new approach for production operation, and understanding the latest market trend of products. The acquired information will be used to guide the company to a new direction in term of technical development in order to meet market demand.
6. Make regular presentation and publication related to technical development to
1) promote information exchange within technical professionals of the company.
2) improve research quality through brainstorming.
3) enable the developed technology to be rooted from the primary level.
4) enhance operative capacity for every division and department of the company.
7. Establish a training system for staffs in training and technical professionals.
Edit educational materials related to the learning of technical skills.
Examine regularly every technical professional’s learning progress in order to ensure that those developed technical skills have been transferred to them.
8. Staffs in training, with their professional skills, will assist the quality assurance department to validate product’s aging and the reliability. The purpose is to protect consumer’s right by assuring in effective that every function of the outgoing products has qualified the customer’s specification.
9. Develop and conduct pilot run for the laser drilled flexible circuit board with a high density wiring. This work is to meet the requirement of signal transmission by high-level mobile phones, and also to assist the domestic business to compete with the Japanese and Koreans.
10. Develop and research the technology for flexible board connections; domestic high-level learning institutes will be invited for technical collaboration in order to make a breakthrough for the board size. This is to follow the trend of increasing the size of home electronic appliances.
11. Conduct pilot run and discuss the technology of a multilayer complex of rigid and flexible boards. The purpose is to assist the customers to design the product module, to reduce manpower for the assembly, and work on an ongoing base toward a lighter, thinner, shorter, and smaller product.
12. Develop and design assorted memory card products, which includes SD, Mini SD, Micro SD, and Pen Driver, that will be used by slim-type circuit boards. The purpose is to expand the market and to assist the company transformation.
13. Develop new memory card finished products featuring a simplified structure with an easy to carry, waterproof and shatterproof characteristics, and a creative appearance as well. The purpose is to reduce those inconveniences of the conventional products.
14. Develop and research for component soldering techniques for larger size flexible boards. The purpose is to facilitate the soldering of components onto the flexible board that has been expanded in size to meet the electronics requirements.
  Develop the laser drill with an aspect ratio of 1:0.68 and the copper plating techniques, then use the technology as the foundation to further challenge a higher aspect ratio of 1:2 for the production techniques of HDI flexible boards.
Career Planning and Development for the Staffs in Training for the Future
I. Career planning and training
 
Phase I: Development of professional skills and competence
1. Dynamics of the industry: Understand the dynamics of the industry in terms of the market demand and the range of application of the flexible PCB.
2. FPC production flow and technology: Be familiar with the production flow, all the production-related technology, product specification, and characteristics of the materials.
3. Research and development for the technology: Be familiar with the overall operational approach for production, and product research and development. Receive instructions related to technical skills and functional specificity.
 
Phase II: Implementation of research and development projects
1. Implementation of research and development projects: Implement research and development for an individual item in details in order to have an in-depth understanding of every production techniques.
2. Foreign language skill enhancement: Learning channels are available for improve individual’s foreign language skills.
3. Data collection: Collect relevant domestic and international thesis and technical reports to facilitate the understanding of each technical skill.
 
Phase III: Work analysis and improvement
1. Work analysis: Become capable of analyzing the research and development work flows for product and technology, and also possess competence for decision making.
2. Work improvement: Be capable of discovering problems related to the research and development works, and also able to provide strategies for improvement.
 
Phase IV: Experiences transfer
1. Product and technology development: Be capable of independently making research and development plans for products and technology. Also be able to present publications to the related research and development works or patent application.
2. Work management: Be capable of appropriately managing and taking charge of personal work, hourly-paid personnel, and knowledge.
3. Transfer research and development experiences: Include past research experiences into the company’s database and also give instruction to the new staffs.
II. Plans for after the conscription service
 
1. Experiences transfer: Become an internal instructor of the company.
2. Provide guidance for research and development projects, publish papers related to the technology, or prepare patent application.
3. Research and develop higher level products and advanced technology.
4. After completing the industrial service substitution of the National Defense Department, the subject can choose either to keep or to leave the job. For those who resign the job, they have to complete the resignation process according to the type of the job.
5. To promote a cooperative relationship between the employer and the employee, the company has set up a mailbox for accepting feedbacks from the employees. The company also provides a channel to accept suggestions according to the system for process employee complains. Staffs for the substitute service can also apply for the complain process according to the regulation for substitute service in research and development.
6. If those staffs serving the research and development substitution service perform well, they will be asked to stay in the company, and their years of work will be included.
